Marie-Nicole Lemieux steps into the shoes of Rossini's heroines for recital new recital programme with orchestra
Marie-Nicole Lemieux gets 2017 off to a rousing start at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées. In January, she sings Handel's Rodelinda, followed a few days later by her first concert version of Carmen and finally this Rossini recital, which promises to be utterly brilliant. The Canadian contralto is decidedly an avid explorer of the repertoire... for our greater pleasure. Whatever she tackles, she obviously enjoys unleashing the power, flexibility and range of her voice. A real musical feast, which she shares unreservedly with the audience.
